Ube and taro are highly popular roots within the Asian community. Ube is used extensively in Pilipino food as well as desserts. Ube is a vivid purple sweet potato, and its relative taro takes on a pale lavender color combined with a starched texture. Both are really delightful and make the perfect pair.
